You can delete your Draftera account and all associated data at any time, directly in the app or by emailing us. This page explains how, exactly what is removed, and how long anything is retained.
1 Delete your account in the app
The fastest way, and it takes effect immediately:
- Open the Draftera app (or draftera.ai/app) and sign in with your email.
- Open the account menu (your profile, top of the workspace).
- Choose Delete account.
- Confirm. Your account and its data are permanently removed.
Deleting your account removes both your Personal and Business workspaces, including every document, uploaded file, and share link in them.
Important for subscribers: deleting your Draftera account does not cancel an Apple subscription. Apple will continue billing until you cancel it. Cancel first in App Store subscription settings. Web subscribers can cancel in Draftera billing settings.
2 Request deletion by email
If you cannot sign in, email hello@draftera.ai from the email address on your Draftera account, with the subject Delete my account. We verify ownership and complete the deletion within 30 days, and confirm by email when it is done.
3 What is deleted
When you delete your account, we permanently remove:
- Your account and profile (email, name, company).
- Every document you generated and every file you uploaded to your data room.
- Your Personal and Business workspaces and their folders.
- All share links you created and their access logs.
- Your referral code and referral records.
- Your device push-notification token.
4 What is kept, and for how long
We do not retain your documents after deletion. Residual copies in encrypted backups are scheduled to expire within 30 days. Security logs are generally retained for up to 90 days. Subscription and transaction records may be retained for up to seven years where required for tax, accounting, fraud prevention, or legal obligations. Nothing is sold or used to train AI models.
5 Delete some data without closing your account
You do not have to delete your whole account to remove data. Inside the app you can delete any individual document or file at any time. Deleted items move to Recently deleted and are permanently purged after 30 days (or immediately if you choose Delete forever).
